Ready to Launch

Pictured above is the first proof for my new book “I Wanted to Ask My Dad” along with “Lolly Lamb”, a stuffy I just finished sewing. (Thanks, Mom, for all the years of 4-H sewing projects!) Lolly is one of the premiums I am offering Supporters who help launch the printing and binding of my book.

As with my ABC book, I am self-publishing “I Wanted to Ask My Dad”.  This new book will be printed and Smyth-bound as a hardcover, using a local printer and bindery.  This is more costly than using online outlets that print and bind overseas.  By using a local printer and bindery, however, I am personally able to monitor the quality of the finished books as well as support local businesses.

To get started, I need a minimum pre-order of 250 books.  Each person who pre-orders my book will receive an invitation to a Book Launch/Signing event.  I am also gifting each pre-order customer with a signed copy of my Good Shepherd card, and will add their name(s) to the growing list of Supporters on my website.

Lolly goes home with anyone who pre-orders 10 or more copies. Perhaps you know of an organization that would benefit from multiple copies of “I Wanted to Ask My Dad”. Or maybe you have several grandchildren to whom you can gift the book while you keep Lolly Lamb around for their visits.

My goal is to reach the minimum order of 250 by Spring of 2027, with the books to be published at that time. Every contribution, large or small, moves this project closer to that goal.

Please consider being a part of the ministry to bring “I Wanted to Ask My Dad” to the world.
